Sounds weird to me. Why would someone give a stranger your cell number? I'd be upset about that. I wouldn't meet a total stranger for anything.

Of course it's a scam. Why would you bother following up. If it were a real opportunity would she be contacting people she ran into at a gas station or grocery store or restaurant or anywhere else she might visit on a normal day? Or would the company be advertising on sites like monster.com

Also if she can't tell you what it is, it means she is looking for a sucker to get involved in something illegal - DO NOT do it

If she were at all legit, she would not suggest meeting for coffee - she would have given you a proper business card and asked you to come into their office for an interview

I would not trust anyone who tells you they have an "opportunity" but can't tell you what it is. That is NOT legit

I'd check it out but move with caution. If she asks you for money in any way it is a scam. Don't reveal too much personal information and thoroughly check her story after you hear it. You can't win if you don't play, but play smart.

Most scam artists want easy money and wouldn't bother with face-to-face contact without a big payoff. Still, there is a chance that its a scam. Meet for coffee, hear her out, tell her you have to think on it, go home and triple check her story before proceeding.

it's probably some multilevel marketing company like AMWAY and very few people make any real money in that
