Either for your own business or for someone else, have you ever purchased a Logo Design? If yes -- why, if no -- why?

I've never personally purchased one, but I've done several for clients professionally. Why should you buy one? The best reason is that self-made logos, are usually sub-standard. Your logo is one of the first things a client see's and it's ability to set a positive or negative impression shouldn't be undervalued. If your looking for a cost-effective way to get a decent logo, check out worth1000.com, and look at their corporate contests. You can get something personalized for a very reasonable amount of money.

I would agree. There is no need to purchase a logo unless the logo in question has a strong brand identity. You can get a logo designed for much less these days.

Yes I have purchased a logo design from both offline and online designers. I must say I found my experience with the offline company much more satisfying. My logo at www.adsymetrix.com was done by a designer in San Jose, California and I am very happy with it.
