How to build a web-site?

Trouble is, I am a writer, NOT a techno-geek. I want to build a web-site, on which to post my work, for others to pay to download, and read.

I have tried both WIX, and Weebly, yet both of these sites REFUSE to speak to me, in "people speak" ENGLISH.

You know, the type of English which people use to speak to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

Weebly has, also, been openly deceptive, not just in refusing to help me set up my site, but, no matter how many steps I follow, they just keep saying "one more thing..."

I am looking for a site where, in the simplest of ENGLISH, I can set up a web-site, where I can post my stories "digital products"(?), and let the public enjoy, at a reasonable cost.

So far I have found not one web-site, which will not demand to charge me 100 years worth of my profits, just to set up a basic site.

I need to find a place where I can set up the BASICS, myself, then the main frame computers would be REQUIRED to handle all the techno-geek stuff themselves (and at NO cost, to me).

Please tell me there is a site, for NON-techno-geeks, where instructions are in "people speak" ENGLISH, and where I can set up my site, and publish my stories.

Any suggestions for where to find such a web-design site (Which will NOT charge a fortune) in set up costs?

If you would like to sell written stories, i recommend you convert your text to a adobe .pdf file

Google it if you donĀ“t know what I mean.

Then to set up your site easily, where you can sell your downloadable files, I recommend

instantecom.net

It costs like 20 dollars a month. Most things included.

Also inclusive a paypal connection where people can pay with creditcard.

Tell me when your site is up and running and I have a look.

Consider wordpress or blogger. Or try web hosting companies that provide template-style builds. The issue may be the ecommerce part of what you propose, that can be quite IT-intense. You may need to pay a web designer to build that for you.
