Hi, I'm a personal trainer and I'm currently writing an e-book to help people get into shape without having to hire somebody for $25 an hour. It's probably gonna take me another 2-3wks but I'm not quite sure what to do when it's finished, other than to make it available on e-bay. I'm thinking about setting up my own website as well, but how do I let people know it exists other than word of mouth??? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I think you should create a press release and email it with the first chapter of your book to your local television affiliates as a human interest community story (find out the assignment editors name and address it to them). The subject should be something along the lines of "Hometown Trainer's new e-book gives locals and others a solid way to get healthy". Offer yourself for an interview. Try the local paper as well.

And you should get your own website as well. Put a bio of yourself and your credentials on line, let people see that you do indeed know what you are talking about.

You may even want to use before and after photos on your site (and in your press release) of clients that you have used this method with.

You can have a contest posted on your site for a free download of your book or for gift cards and such.

Hello There I have a free ebook website http://www.witguides.com if you would like to get a heap of exposure about yourself, business and website giving away high quality and well written ebooks is a very good way of online promotion. A good ebook will have a snow ball effect and where more and more sites will list it around the web.

If you are wanting to sell your ebook getting started can be quite difficult if you are on a budget click bank is the best amazon and ebay are obvious and there are quite a few smaller sites that could beneficial but make sure you put alot of thought into your sales page that where you have to make a good conversion ratio.

The answer I have for you is perfect for what you are trying to do. I found the best of the best internet marketing techniques which will show you how to promote your product with $0 investment. The technique is found in the "Who Loves Money" ebook and if you follow this guide you will learn how to do all this without spending a dime. This also lets you see if your ebook will sell before you invest any of your own money. Please see the link below for more details.

And I kid you not, this is not a scam, I got the book myself and love it.

Hi. You could add yourself to as many social networking sites, forums etc as you can then you can put links to your ebook or website on notice boards, in forums and on your profile pages to help promote it.

If you are self-employed etc you could have your story featured on a website like this one http://newbiztips.net/startupstories.aspx where you could mention your book and have a link to your website etc so people can buy it.

You could use some of vistaprint's 'free 250 business cards' as a marketing gimmick - just put the web address on and a catchy sentence then put them up everywhere you go!

Hope these give you some ideas
