Mailing lists for companies in the uk.?

I work for a company that sells free golf along with advertising on T markers throughout the uk, we usually find our numbers via google and business search etc, however we are approaching a stale mate at the moment as we are low on numbers in the sheffield area. Would any one be able to advise me of either a new strategy as i am really enthusiastic to fill these courses before moving on. I want to consider email mailing lists and fax numbers etc, but havent a clue as to where i can source reliable leads from, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Does it cost a fortune to buy mailing lists???

It is next to impossible to remove yourself from a spam list. Spam is a billion dollar business and it's not going away anytime soon. And by sending them an email message asking to be removed just verifies that they have a valid email ID for you. It makes matters worse not better. Add the senders domain to your junk mail or spam list and every time you get mail from them it will automatically get deleted.

Mailing lists can be quite affordable really. Especially if it is extremely niched.
